Hello All, I received eight responses to my question: I have a DOQQ (tiff file) which is in UTM Zone 16. To use the image with other data I need to convert it into Georgia State Plane West Zone. Please advise me how to do this. Thanks to all who responded! The most common response was to reproject the vector data to match the image (which I would have done, except the project was for illustration and teaching and the single image wasn't worth the effort of reprojecting all the other project data). Other responses were: Changing projections of raster images is much more difficult than projecting vector data, and cannot be done in ArcView 3.x. It can be done in ArcInfo, if you have access to it. ArcView 8.x will display the DOQQ in its original UTM projection along with your Georgia SPCS data, provided the first theme you add in ArcMap is State Plane, but will not perform a projection transformation on the DOQQ. Reproject the arcview data to LL/WGS84 and then set my View properties to UTM/16. The LL data will lay correctly. The other option is Mentor Software TRALAINE which will reproject the world file (TFW) to any other coordinate system. Modify the image world file. There are several scripts on the geo communities web site that will do this: http://www.geocomm.com/channel/esri/ Susan ___________________________________________________________________ Susan R.
